The house sits near Agua Blanca on the coast road north of Todos Santos. Here is how to reach it, and where we go once you have settled in.

01Getting here

Most guests fly into Los Cabos (SJD). The drive takes about an hour and a half: the airport corridor to Cabo San Lucas, then Highway 19 north along the Pacific, through El Pescadero, to Todos Santos.

La Paz (LAP) is the closer airport, about an hour and a quarter: Highway 19 south, straight into town.

From town it is twenty-five minutes north on the coast road. A precise pin and turn-by-turn notes come with your booking confirmation, and the concierge can arrange airport transfers and a stocked kitchen for your arrival.

Todos Santos eats well for a town of its size, and Villa Santa Cruz up the coast added two more. The concierge holds tables when you arrive.

  • Todos Santos

    A mission town from 1733 that grew sugar cane, then filled with painters. An afternoon covers the plaza, the brick ruins of the old mills, and a dozen galleries.

  • Punta Lobos

    Beach · 35 min

    The fishermen's beach. Pangas launch at dawn and come back through the surf around midday with the catch.

  • La Pastora

    Surf · 10 min

    A right-hand point break up the coast road. Experienced surfers, empty lineups.

  • Villa Santa Cruz

    A boutique resort just up the coast, with a spa, a pool, and pickleball courts. Worth the drive even if you are staying with us.

  • The farm stands

    El Pescadero · 25 min

    The valley grows strawberries, basil, and tomatoes on an aquifer under the desert. Agricole, beside the highway at the edge of town, sells the morning's picking; in season, stop for the strawberries and cream.

    Grays and humpbacks pass close on their way to the calving lagoons; you can watch from shore.

  • Turtle releases

    Tortugueros Las Playitas releases hatchlings at sunset a few beaches north.

  • Sierra de la Laguna

    The granite range behind the coast, a biosphere reserve since 1994. Guides lead day walks from the ranches above town into canyons that hold water all year; the committed carry on overnight to the meadow at the summit.

  • The boat

    Sea of Cortez · Bahía de los Muertos

    Charters depart Bahía de los Muertos on the gulf side and work the coves around it. Two formats: up to five hours on the water with lunch on the beach, or a full fishing expedition for marlin, tuna, and dorado. Mix them as you like; fish three hours in the morning, and the chef cooks the catch at the house that night. Usually $200 per person. The blue-water months run June through November; winter fishing stays closer in, for sierra and snapper.
